Ok, so apart from falling asleep trying to watch this several times before making it all the way through, the movie was a kind of "movie movie", like the kind of movie that is written by people who watch movies. like trying to make milk whiter by adding milk. this movie had many elements of success, but then added so much cheese at the end that an entire theatre could have been rendered lactose intolerant.

If the movie had ended at the alien spaceship lift off, that would have done for me, but not good enough.. because where would the tie in with his estranged dad been. Ok, so do that, but the garden of eden scene???? driving through devastated city of thousands of people, but no-one wants to steal his car, and then he happens to see his best mate from work standing by a bus stop? I absolutely hated the ending for this movie.... hang on! Quick, shove another special effect in, quick! It's ending!
