Knowing begins with a truly exciting yet disturbing concept; it has the perfect set-up for a tense thriller. However as the film progresses, the plot plummets downhill into a bizarre turn of events that really does insult the viewers' intelligence.
As a science fiction film, the deus ex machina only further emphasises the ridiculous outcome of a film that had potential.
