Review of Knowing (2009) by Jack B — 25 Jun 2013
There is nothing really great about this film. The plot as a whole is pretty dumb, but there are some cool elements mixed in. It feels like somebody needed to take some of these ideas and write a completely different film than what we got.
The Nicolas Cage character really doesn't do anything to promote his cause throughout the film, and it feels like everything we had to go through to get to the ending really didn't serve much of a purpose.
There are definitely some interesting scenes scattered throughout the film, and kudos for trying to make something that stands out from a lot of the cliche storylines that come out the Hollywood pipeline, but overall it's poorly executed and hardly memorable.
