Review of Knowing (2009) by Kevin S — 29 Sep 2013

This is about a girl named Lucinda who has some kind of special abilities to foresee disasters and when she is supose to draw a picture to put in a time capsule instead she writes down filling up the paper with a whole bunch of numbers and placed in the time capsule.

That was fifty years ago now we go to the current year and you have john who is a college professor who teaches about the sun and our solar system. He goes to the fifty anniversary event of the time capsule at the elementary school where his son goes and the kids each get to pick one of the pictures out of the time capsule.

He son picks Lucinda's and after that all sorts of weird things start to happen. John stays up one night and figures out Lucinda's code. He founds out that each is the date of a disaster and how many people are going to die and some even have where the disaster will take place.

He starts to go where the upcoming disasters are going to be to try to prevent them. The next disaster is the apocalypse in which is a disaster he can't prevent. This is definitely a good thrilling end of the world movie.

The aliens choosing those who are going to be safe and take with them thing was sort of unnecessary but they did kind of add a little more creepiness to the movie. And even though the acting was short of perfect I wouldn't deny the fact that I did enjoy viewing this.

I was kinda not certain about this movie knowing that I seen quite a few bad reviews for it but I usually go ahead and view it myself to determine if its good or not and I'm glad I did watch it instead of determing it was bad by other reviews.

I say it was was worth the time to watch and if you do enjoy watching apocalypse movies this would be worth the value of your time.
