Review of Knocked Up (2007) by Superfrog281 — 20 May 2023
This has to one of the greatest R-rated movies I've ever seen. Even better than Hall Pass, Bros, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, even though that one has some funny moments and a good story and cast. Knocked Up brings in some insight about the troubles and worries about parenting, and some great cast performances and funny moments.
It's actually a lot more touching than I thought it would be, and the story really got me drawn to it. Although Seth Rogen's character is as goofy and likeable enough, and Katherine Heigl is a good actress to play his unrequited love interest, at some bits Leslie Mann is the part who scares me the most due to playing a harsh character who is too obsessed with Pete (Paul Rudd) and unwilling to let him to anything else, which makes me like Pete more.
And Heigl sometimes scares me a bit too. Nonetheless the acting performances are outstanding and I appreciate them and the movie, and this might be the Judd Apatow movie I like the most.
