Review of Knock Knock (2015) by Adele C — 05 Jul 2016
If you want to take this movie too seriously, it is not for you.
Targeted at a narrow audience, don't judge this movie by it's poor ratings!
Once again, Eli Roth delivers one hell of a ride. The sense of humour is twisted and dark and if you focus too much on the technicalities, you're very likely to miss it. To the likes of The Green Inferno, Knock Knock is entertaining and enticing. Don't expect a masterpiece, but appreciate this gem for its rough edges, because it makes it all the more better.
While the ending may leave you hanging, I highly recommend hunting down the alternate ending floating around on the internet.
Watch out for Keanu Reeves' "free pizza" speech - it's hilarious, intense and will leave you wondering if you're as sick as the villains, or if Eli Roth is just messing with your head.
