Review of Knock Knock (2015) by Brett H — 17 Oct 2015
(1/5) I expected this movie to be 50 Shades of Grey Eli Roth style, unfortunately Knock Knock is a boring thriller; to say lightly isn't even suspenseful. The movie seems to focus on comedy references instead of instilling fear with these "crazy girls" and what they are actually doing, poor execution.
the movie has no punch, which is unfortunate because the idea is great. I thought Eli would take this to another level. This movie never seems to peak either, you don't get invested, there is literally no suspense, just clunky dialogues, you never feel invested watching it, or even care, then it's over, leaving you feel less than satisfied.
I'm not sure if Keanu Reeves committed to the character or if it was the script, but his acting was boring, dry and not even believable. Eli should stick to gore films, this was an epic fail in my opinion.
