Review of Knock Down the House (2019) by Master_Sebo — 06 Jun 2020
KDTH is a good political documentary that gives interesting insights related to AOC and other pretty ambitious American women ready to overthrow the machine. However, while the attention given to AOC (who is undoubtedly the protagonist of this documentary) is very high, the room reserved for Cori Bush, Amy Vilela and Paula Jean is pretty tight, and at the end of the documentary you are given the feeling that the narration of what happens to these three women is only functional to the explanation of how AOC gained popularity in 2018's mid-term elections.
It would have been more interesting if climax, suspence and other cinematographic clichés had been put in the records related to Vilela, Bush and Jean. Still, it's a good movie about a rising star of US politics.
