Review of Knock Down the House (2019) by Alcivarperezmn — 30 Apr 2019
This documentary shows that movements don't happen overnight, but they are built upon hours and hours of sacrifice. These 4 women ran not because they wanted power for themselves, but to bring it back to their constituents.
Entrenched politicians, that are out of touch, don't simply have to be in power because "that's the way things are"; they can be challenged. Even a top ranking Democrat, with millions from wealthy donors, and big money interests, are unable to withstand the power of working people banding together.
Incredibly moving, and powerful storytelling. If you need something to fight the constant cynicism, watch this film.
