Review of Knives Out (2019) by Morefiction — 12 Jul 2021
This is an overly complicated ode to a board game that already had a movie made about it (hint: it's called Clue). It's as if the director and the actors expect you to be impressed by the script's complexity and its cast's star power so that you won't realize that this movie's satisfaction is akin to untangling a string of Christmas lights.
Worst of all, it tries to deliver a moral along the lines of "good things happen to good people and then they become rich.
