The movie starts out well but then delves into a completely nonsensical plot full of inconsistencies. The ending does manage to wrap a handful of those up justifying much of what happened but there were still glaring problems in the resolution. 1. By far the biggest problem was how incompetent and foolish Daniel Craig and the other officers acted throughout the film. They make Marta part of the case even though she's a suspect and watch twice as she "accidentally" destroys evidence and respond only with an "aw, shucks". After following her in a brief car chase Daniel Craig actually gets in her car like nothing happened and has her drive. He even lets her get out of the for "errands" while she actually meets someone else not suspecting a thing. There's no way real life cops would ever be that stupid. Aside from that they are remarkable push-overs for cops. The family ignores their orders constantly and treats them like morons. Try that with cops in real life lol.

They try and justify all this by revealing how Daniel Craig actually suspected her from the start, but all he had to go off of was a small drop of blood on her shoe which could've came from anything or have easily been barbecue sauce. Total nonsense.

2. Thrombey advises Marta on what to do after accidentally poisoning him because he doesn't want to draw attention to her since she's an illegal immigrant and doing so would likely get her deported. However before all of that he left all of his inheritance to her which would've had the same effect. His actions are inconsistent.

3. Why did the maid who was blackmailing Ransom choose to meet him in a warehouse completely unarmed? I would've probably at least taken a knife if I was planning on threatening Captain America.

There are numerous other holes, but these were by far the ones that were the most egregious to me as I watched the movie. Most movies have plotholes but having ones this big and glaring especially when the movies is a whodunnit where you are supposed to be nitpicking really ruin the movie. The ending was actually tied up surprisingly well and parts of the middle were enjoyable, but overall this movie is a mess. Johnson's signature seems to be "subverting expectations". However it seems like he's overextended himself and ended up creating a movie full of contradictions. The Last Jedi was similarly a mess, but this movie actually does go somewhere and isn't a slogfest. Would recommend if you're able to shut your brain off for 2 hours.
