Review of Knives Out (2019) by Movieturtle — 27 Nov 2019
A modern and fun "who done it?" in the style of an Agatha Christie mystery. Fun and enjoyable with decent acting, good cinematography, and fantastic set design.
The necessary requirement of a "who done it?" to be enjoyable to me, that this one pulls off fantastically, is that if you are paying attention you can figure it out for yourself before the reveal.
Honestly the only downside I found with the movie is the policitical attributes and the push for the characters to be purely bad with no redeeming qualities as a way to associate with that alignment. It adds nothing to the movie and distracts quite a bit.
