Review of Knight and Day (2010) by Seth S — 13 Jul 2012
Knight and Day surpassed my expectations. Maybe its just because I like Tom Cruise, but this movie was hilarious.
The story really centers around June Havens. Through a wild series of events, she ends up on the run with a FBI agent named Roy Miller. Roy must protect a battery that holds tons of power from another FBI agent named Fitzgerald.
Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are both fantastic and have great chemistry. Cameron Diaz is the one who does comedies here. But Tom Cruise is really funny, and he kinda plays into the crazy persona that he has. Movies like this only make me like Tom Cruise more. Diaz is also funny, but she's showing her age now. The rest of the cast is usable. Look for a pre-Oscar Viola Davis as an FBI agent.
Overall, this movie is funny and full of action. This proves Cruise can still headline an action movie. And it also shows what great chemistry Cruise and Diaz have.
"I've been trained to dismantle a bomb in the pitch black with nothing but a safety pin and a Junior Mint." 8.5/10.
