Knife in the Water (1962) -- [6.0] -- For a movie of modest scale, Roman Polanskiâ??s directorial debut is pretty solid. Itâ??s not as suspenseful as I would have liked, and the stakes aren't very high, but it turns out to be an interesting study of three characters forced into prolonged confinement.
It's also a good examination of gender roles, especially male competitiveness.
