Review of Knife in the Water (1962) by Artur N — 22 Jul 2009
Much imitated but never with as great an effect, polanskis early thriller made his name. there is so much ego being tossed around in this film that you want to castrate these men but it creates a great deal of tension.
the cinematography is excellent, one of my favorite shots being of a man laying on his back on the boat and shot from above straight down.
