Jane Fonda is obnoxious in this movie, and you get the feeling she doesn't have the right to call anyone a "square"--especially the way she infantilizes Donald Sutherland who is very strangely appealing in his role.
He is very quiet and underplayed and even though he looks like a wizard I found him attractive. What's really stellar is the music! oh my god, the score was so awesome. a creepy girl sigh added a lot of tension.
it scared me so much I had to pause the movie about 25 times. I like Jane Fonda's lesbian haircut a lot, though I dislike that she's so intentionally trying to distance herself from the Barbarella Bardot curls.
cmonnnnn just because it was ridiculous doesn't mean she couldn't have just embraced that part of her past. if you have no interest in seeing Jane Fonda's braless nipples through thin shirts, this is not the movie for you.
I thought Bree Daniels' thigh high boots were heeeinous. So final story, jane fonda will annoy you, Donald Sutherland will strangely seduce you, and it will be a scary good time! I also really liked Roy Scheider in the role he was born to play, a pimp.
