Review of Klute (1971) by Prasad P — 05 Apr 2009
A superb, unconventional thriller, with Jane Fonda's Oscar-winning performance as its showcase. Eschewing traditional Hollywood thriller cliche, Alan J. Pakula fuels the film with expressionistic framing, an onus on character and motivation and relationships that count.
Most of all, he does not forget this is a thriller - one that truly can be described as a psychological thriller. Superb.
