Gripping, emotional, strange, and at times very tense. Uncomfortable music. Visually stylish. Plays with shapes and angles, and creates an unnerving atmosphere that moves between creepy and intimate. Sutherland's quiet subdued naivety is the perfect foil for Jane Fonda's tour-de-forceness. A slow pace and somewhat thin mystery element fade to the background against her character, lost in a depraved world, wanting to leave as much as she needs to stay, and the moments of profound clarity and understanding being there allows her to have. She completely won me over.

It's something you need to be in the mood for, which I luckily was. Liked it a lot.
