Review of Kitchen Stories (2003) by Anders H — 10 Sep 2007
Kitchen stories has one of the most bizarre (and perhaps least hopeful) premises of any film. Certainly, I can imagine no Hollywood studio that would buy stock in a story about a hermite farmer being obnoxiously supervised in his own kitchen by a government scientist.
And yet, somehow, when a film comes out of Scandinavia without a moment of screaming or gunpoint action, we all flock to the cinemas in eager anticipation.
