Review of Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008) by Anne D — 07 Jul 2008
She was always my favorite American Girl when I was little, so I decided to drag my best friend along with me to watch it. I was really suprised at how good it was, those made for TV American Girl movies in the past were rather painful to sit through. The acting was fantastic- I don't believe there was anyone that I can directly point out that did a poor job.
Honestly, it's just like what someone said below, it's like an older Disney movie. You learn a bit of history and reality. The characters are fun and upbeat and have distinct personality. There's a couple of wholesome laughs, and it has a positive ending! And I loved how Kit wasn't potrayed as a brat- much better than Miley Cyrus or another child star that has a character with an attitude!
The ending was a bit- too much, but it left you with a smile on your face and this desire to just be a kid while you can.
