Obviously, this movie isn't marketed toward males in their 20's. Well, I really liked it, and I think most people would if they saw it. However, the targeted demographic isn't going to yield a very wide audience.
It tackles suprisingly adult issues for a kids movie, like poverty to the degree of homelessness and discrimination against hobos. Abigail Breslin has loads of talent and is adorable, as she has been ever since she hit the big screen.
While the ending is overly tidy, it's forgivable because it IS a kids movie.
