Review of Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008) by Alicia D — 28 Jul 2008
This movie presented an interesting mix of sincere portrayal of the Great Depression and, on occasion, some silly "good guy / bad guy" exchanges. It felt a little unbalanced but, really, couldn't you say the same of that time in American history? There were a few things that, as an adult, made me take notice of how difficult the depresion's effects were on individuals, regardless of age.
The moral lessons were complex for youngish kids but it was served in a digestable way. Well done and a solid 4 stars!
