Review of Kissed (1996) by Devin W — 19 Feb 2006
For a grade B movie, this wasn't too horrible. It was bad, but only because I'm a sicko who wanted to see more than it showed.
It was a cheezy, badly acted film about a woman whose preoccuption with death leads to her necrophilia later in life. It was strange and I'm morbid, so I was riveted...kind of. They tried too hard to be artsy, so they used a lot of bad voiceovers and never showed explicit sex. When the woman's boyfriend hangs himself because she can't enjoy sex unless the person's dead, it's...oddly...touching. But like my mom and I kept saying, "when are they going to SHOW the corpse sex? I wanna see how she's getting IT up!".
Yeah...good for a weird, morbid grade B fix. Just don't expect it to be tame, non-disturbing, and brilliantly done.
