I love the Alex Cross Book Series. I can't wait to borrow book 17 from the library (just don't know when they will have it yet). After reading all 16 books, I thought why not watch the movie since I saw it available on HBO (sorry Netflix).
I'm a Morgan Freeman fan and this was a real nicely-made movie. Perhaps not everybody will appreciate it since there were indeed dragging parts, but it was a nice representation of the book. I also applaud the acting of Ashley Judd as Kate McTiernan.
She did justice to the book's character. However, there are some angles of her that is just lacking of something that I can't describe. James Patterson's books may sometimes become unbelievable, but the twist and turns that the movie showed was a good whodunit.
