Zzzz. I cant believe William Hurt got an oscar for this horrible, preening stereotypical cartoon performance. Anyway, making the guy in drag get the butch macho dude to fall for him seemed like a wish fulfilment rather than psychological reality.

Otherwise it shows the perils of falling for dubious political stances, they just get you in jail, getting tortured, pooping your pants, and giving it all up for a dude in drag who is informing on you to the police state.

I think that's what it was about, it was boring and I fell asleep.
