Review of Kiss Me, Stupid (1964) by Trevor R — 03 Oct 2008
Back in 1964, this was considered raunchy . Today, it's just a dull comedy with lots of raunchy humour in it. The only thing I enjoyed out of the whole picture was Kim Novak as Polly The Pistol. He story was more interesting that the main plot that just happened to involve her.
Director Billy Wilder was trying to push the envelope in what he could get past the censors onscreen. Instead, he just made a smutty low brow comedy.
