Review of Kinsey (2004) by Nick K — 06 May 2008
Garbage. Biographical films are almost always brutally unwatchable, more so than any other genre. Since the filmmakers found it necessary to cram in over fifty years of a person's life in under two hours, we are left with an amalgamation of random scenes with characters appearing and disappearing at random, without any insight provided into Kinsey or his life.
Here he is simply a one-dimensional paper cutout who literally interjects every single conversation with the words "penis" and "vagina" and looks as if he was severely constipated throughout the entire film (but what do you expect from Liam Neeson and/or Ralph Finnes, I can't remember who it was).
As usual, Tim Curry is completely wasted in a seemingly antagonistic role that amounts to little more than a cameo.
