Makes you laugh, makes you cry and makes you think. That's pretty much my ideal movie trifecta. Still, for as fascinating a story as Kinsey's is, and as witty as the film often proves itself to be (e.
G. a nice little self-reflexive bit where Kinsey scoffs at the idea of a film based on his research), my one real complaint would be that sometimes the more trite emotional manipulation at work is a little obvious, with some bits seeming just a bit too fudged or reworked.
Still, a charming and more-thought-provoking-than-not biopic.
