Review of Kinsey (2004) by Igor G — 16 Aug 2009
Marvelously fantastic performance. A fascinating look back at the history of sexual repression in this country, through censorship, sexual misinformation, and legislative morality -- people were mostly brain washed, confused, and sexually charged deviants. Kinsey was the first person to sit down and do a comprehensive study of human sexual behavior, and eventually concluded that people's behaviors spanned the entire spectrum of sexual perversion, and that our sex legal system was incongruent with the majority of sexual practices. "Everybody's sin is nobody's sin".
Amazing acting... great character development and transformation. From puritan prude, to completely sexually liberated bi-sexual in an open marriage. This movie really challenges contemporary views on sex and love.
It is quite startling this this man innovated sex ed... and what a step back we've taken since he let loose the flood gates. Hopefully we can get back to that kind of candid and honest sex ed in the near future.
