Kinsey shows understanding and tolerance when he interviews people about human sexuality but sees things objectively which of course causes problems in his personal life and lovelife. This film has an understanding approach to female and male sexuality as well as homosexuality and bisexuality.
It shows both the idiocy and hypocrisy of having sexual taboos back in the days and the flaws of Kinsey himself.
