Review of Kinky Boots (2005) by Richard D — 11 Sep 2007
Marvelous film that does a bang-up job illustrating the issues around change in the workplace.
The young owner of a staid shoe factory inherits the business only to find that it is on the brink of bakruptcy - and he figures the only way to keep it afloat is to make men's high-heeled boots - of the type worn by drag queens on stage.
It looks like a movie about drag queens, but it's really about change management, and how change hits people in the workplace - and in their private lives!
