Review of Kinky Boots (2005) by Tracey F — 18 Jan 2009
It's the second time that I see this movie and I am as entertained as when I first saw it more than a year ago. Chiwetel Ejiofor is brillant as a drag queen without going over the top in his performance.
Knowing what is in the end does not spoil the fun because the journey is an enjoyable one. Same as the other 2 British productions 'The full monty' and 'Calendar girls', there are enough likeability in the secondary characters to accompany us through the whole movie.
