Review of Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015) by Bshop — 17 Feb 2015
It knows the audience - even makes jokes about typical Bond villain vs. Bond!
Great action sequences (the church scene was ridiculous), but not much for the story honestly.
I think a better main actor that fit the badboy bill - maybe a Tim Hiddleston or Andrew Garfield would have worked better I think.
Colin Firth does a great job, as does the incredible Michael Caine (although limited in time), and SLJ is a treat as well. All others are second fiddle.
In summary, see it in theaters. if you like Bond-like spy movies. I would wait for it on VOD or Redbox to be surprised.
