Review of Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015) by Nathan H — 25 Nov 2017

Reading the professional reviews there are a lot of reviewers who just want to come off as "woke" and make "witty" one-line cliches at the film's expense. Other negative reviews get it right though. A really good start starts to diminish in the second act and by the third act the film squanders its setup and sacrifices any continuity developed previously. It's kind of like they didn't know how to end it.

Why 4 stars? The film is still fun and Vaughn delivers what we saw in his previous films albeit a little dumber. If one doesn't think too hard and just enjoys the ride this film is a 4 star popcorn flick. I can't wait to see the sequel.
