Review of Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015) by Colby H — 11 Sep 2017
When it came out, I honestly had no clue what to expect. It came out of nowhere and no one knew anything about it. After I saw it I was floored. Kingsman: The Secret Service is without a doubt a film that will become a classic in the future.
In thirty or forty years from now, this will be then, what the Sean Connery Bond films are now. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It stars Taron Egerton, Collin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Michael Caine.
There is a James Bond style spy organization in Britain called 'Kingsman' (obviously) led by Michael Cain's character. The conflict is caused by the antagonist, Richmond Valentine, who became extremely popular after he invents a thing that looks like an SD card and will supposedly allow you to have free internet, calls ext.
His plan is to cause the population to revolt on themselves in order to kill off the human race. A Kingsman by the name of Harry Hart is bringing in a young guy named Eggsy, played by Taron Egerton, to become a Kingsman himself because his father saved Harry's life.
The plot is obviously a long-shot, but it works. It worked because this movie was designed to be like an old spy movie where a plot like this was normal.
