Valentine (Sam Jackson): Is he dead?

Gazelle (Sofia Boutella): That tends to happen when you shoot someone in the head.

I'm always weary when I see a film and immediately like it based on the trailer alone because often, the best parts of the movie is in the trailer. Fortunately, this was the exception and I would go so far as to say that this exceeded my expectations. It was really an entertaining and enjoyable film; a sort of more up-to-date version of a good ole Bond flick with all the action and gadgets of the traditional 007 genre. The whole cast did a great job- especial kudos to the lead, Taron Egerton because he played would-be loser Eggsy Unwin so brilliantly that one cannot help but cheer him on. Colin Firth and Mark Strong were equally wonderful in their respective parts and Sam Jackson was an awesome villain. Mad props to all of them for lending credibility to what could have been an overly campy and stereo-typical spy flick and making it a thoroughly enjoyable breath of fresh-air to an otherwise all too predictable genre.
