Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Arthur R — 11 Dec 2017
An offense, not to the easily offended, but instead directed at fans of the first film. The writing is beyond atrocious, seemingly designed to surpass the worst we've come to expect of bad cinema, but the bad decisions don't end there.
Making an action movie, that doesn't feature any substantial action sequences for a whole hour after the introductory fight sequence, that features multiple big name actors shoved into throwaway roles.
Of the All star cast, only two stand out as anything above terrible, and it's not the actors fault. Nearly every single scene outdoes the latter in term of shitty plot threads and inane developments.
It's almost as if a second writer was aggressively attempting to sabotage the movie every step of the way. If so, than said unnamed writer can sleep soundly, having succeeded. I can't recommend this film to anyone.
