Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Schnitzelpoof — 26 Oct 2017
The best action movie I've seen. Intense, fun, and sucks you in, with charming characters that are full of life. Over the top humor with a wink to the audience never fails to enhance the experience, rather than detract from it. Even a cold bastard of a US president works well to keep the plot going the way it needs to.
Characters are consistently awesome, but the challenges they face never seem easy or boring to watch. The actions sucks you in, not in small part due to the shifting camera angles. I gasped whenever the protagonists were at risk, and sighed when they survived another hardship - usually in some epic manner.
My one gripe is with the contrived killing of a main character towards the end of the film, for what seems to be a "diversity" replacement for the sequel. He will be missed.
