Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Bananafish — 17 Oct 2017
Oh my god - this movie is a bloated, nonsensical monstrosity. This may be the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. The plot was laughable - a bizarre slow -speaking villain with a random (and unexplained) preference for 1950's themed decor.
"It's nostalgia" she quips at one point - while speaking to robot-dogs with laser eyes who also have meat grinders in them (that's what you want in a robot-dog, obviously). The action is lousy and obviously green-screened - so badly that it's clear the creators had a "we want to slap-you-in-the-face with our fondness for cheesy special-effects" attitude.
None of the characters make sense. I'm all for levity and non-sequiturs in film or TV - but this is a movie is one giant non-sequitur masquerading as an action-movie starring Elton John.. no seriously.
Elton John.
