Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Torrey G — 29 Sep 2017
Here is the real talk if you like the first you will like second though if you are looking for another church scene you will be let down the closest thing is the 'final boss' scene at the end. Also its a similar plot to the first one sans the first two acts, which to be honest the plots fine better than most of the shit holly wood does these days.
that said this movie isn't really about the plot so much as the characters and there arcs. I would almost say the plot is closer to a setting for the character to be awesome in than anything of meaning.
think of this as if mad max or die hard had a baby with james bond. Actually, scratch that the way I describe kings is as if james bond and the borne movies had a baby while austin powers was jerking off in the corner/closet.
Its not as pulp or slap stick as austin power has the fight and action scenes of bruce lee, jason born or john wick or the accountant and plot that would fit in bond. again not that the plot really matters the 3rd -5th act are pretty much the same as the first just with drug users.
Again the plot doesn't matter for this movie so that spoiler is spoiling the least relevant thing about the movie. You go to see kings men for awesome larger than life characters with cool gadgets and scenes.
I do hope the plot from the third one doesn't rip the plot for the first two though. again this is fun film, if you are expecting moonlight or some art festival flick pass. if you want a fun movie that you will leave with smile and get your moneys worth then don't pass.
It is longish for holly wood flick though.
