Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Filmbuffdudeguy — 23 Sep 2017
Lovely sequel. While there are certainly aspects that are problematic and scenes that weren't necessary, Vaughn brought it again for a great movie. The fight scenes are beautifully choreographed, the soundtrack and score are delightful, and the villain (while certainly not as fantastic as Samuel L.
Jackson's Valentine) was incredibly disturbing. The return of Harry Hart is executed in perfect comic book fashion with very interesting nods to his past. The introduction of the unique group that is Statesman leaves one wanting to know more about this new group.
All in all, while this certainly isn't the five stars that the original Kingsman was, it was still a fun sequel and I, for one, am hoping for a third to round out the trilogy. :).
