It gets a few things right and there's points for some originality and creativity, but there's just an overall sense of hollowness to it. It lacks the heart and purpose of the original and can't hold on to a consistant tone.
It feels like a cash grab sequel. Better than your average cash grab sequel, but a heartless cash grab nonetheless.
