Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Joel H — 03 Jan 2018
Another stylized action movie from the Kingsman series. A lot of well-known actors are in this movie. Just like in the first film. The action scenes are what makes this movie fun to watch. The cinematography of the actions that they do is quite unique and I really like it. Quite fast paced than the first one. If I remember correctly, the first one has a precise pacing and it's because it was to established Eggsy's character development by becoming a legit Kingsman agent. I'm quite surprised that Elton John has a great amount of spotlight in this one and I mean, a really great one.
There were a gripe on the traveling locations that went through quite fast but it wasn't much of a problem. The focus was literally about the Golden Circle. Julianne Moore's standstill yet riveting performance as the main villain in the movie was pretty good. My question about Colin Firth's character return has answered and I thought it was well executed into the story. Secret agent movies are also my kind of action movies and there's no doubt that I'm looking forward to the third film.
