Review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) by Moore S — 02 Jan 2018
Overlong, overplayed sequel to the breezy 2015 film that wastes a lot of the franchise's goodwill. Amazingly, there were 80 minutes CUT from this film to get it to the current length; one wonders if they cut the actual good parts.
Julianne Moore is wasted as a villain, as is much of the cast. Only Mark Strong, with a heightened role for his Merlin, comes off entirely well here, as does Pedro Pascal, who continues to steal every franchise he steps in.
VERY disappointing.
