Review of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV (2016) by David R — 24 Feb 2017

Fans will love it and it does a pretty good job at increasing the hype for the upcoming videogame. It is also full of references and easter eggs to the Final Fantasy franchise which are very much appreciated. Obviously, if you're not interested at all in the videogame you'll probably find the plot and the set of characters confusing, but you can still enjoy the impressive visuals and action scenes (which are 90% of the movie) without worrying too much about the story.

I give it 5 stars because I think the movie is targeted to fans or at least to people interested in the videogame and in this regard it fulfills its purpose setting up the context of the world and story while at the same time entertaining and offering a nice complement to the FFXV universe.
