Review of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV (2016) by Darioskydragon — 30 Aug 2016
If you're used to animated films that were not created by Disney / Dreamworks you know you can not expect too much of them. It was with this thought that I began to see Kingsglaive.
However, the facial expressions mostly, but also the drama before the action starts, the focus on the feelings and opinions of some characters made me see this movie with other eyes.
Let's not talk about the stunning visual, that everyone has come to expect from Square Enix. The animation fails in some movements, but overall it was very well captured and reproduced. Few scenes seemed strange.
The film kept me excited all the time and really captured some of the key elements of the franchise Final Fantasy: Crystal, Magic, iconic monsters, references, high tech, Chocobos (written as imprints at least), confrontation between good and evil, some gray areas (FF had many thieves and murderers as heroes).
