An action movie that sets up the story to a videogame.

Pros: Unbelievable production values, great action, some solid voice performances, does a good job setting a baseline for the upcoming game.

Cons: Some mediocre voice performances, weak ending, doesn't do much to clarify basic concepts for 'non-final fantasy' fans.

Worth mentioning: This has a serviceable story if you pay attention. I cannot understand how some people lose the plot (the names on the other hand...). Barring a few throw-away scenes, it's not too complicated. Also, this has some of the most realistic CGI I've ever seen.
