Review of Kingdom of the Spiders (1977) by Citizen P — 13 Feb 2010

Surprisingly entertaining spider flick. Takes some time to get going, but revels in spider mayhem for the last half hour. It doesn't hold back on spider related carnage.

Sure it's got cheesy dialogue, but Shatner's schizophrenic performance (he's creepy and charming) is fun to watch, and there are plenty of shocking moments (never use a gun to get spiders off your hand).

If the ending was ramped up a little bit more and didn't just...well end, this probably rate a bit higher. As it stands it really fizzles out in the last couple of minutes.
