Review of Kingdom of Heaven (2005) by Parker R — 10 Jul 2013

Though it is a realistic take on the Crusades, it fails to arouse much interest as the minutes go by. The film uses an all-star cast, and I have to say, the award for best performance here seems to go to Jeremy Irons.

However, the dialogue is dramatic in the clichéd sort of way, in that it tries to be dramatic, but it's really not that powerful. The story is an honest attempt, but the plot and characters lack real depth.

The film is decently presented, and the action scenes look nice, but the film still manages to be rather boring. Overall, the film tries very hard, but it could have done so much better.
