Epic stunning images, striking beautiful images, powerfully photography, epic - the costumes, the desert, the era.. yes! - we love this.. and how we love this.. we long for this to work - but does it?.

. we wish it did but unfortunately it doesn't - at least where it counts most - narratively.. the acting, along with its photography & sound, does but only fundamentally, where it counts most..

Mr Bloom at the center is quite capable of carrying an expensive epic film.. but what agenda is the film serving?.. what themes?.. is it the Christian west against the Islamic mid-east? or vice versa?.

. or the social order?.. nonetheless, we still love the imagery (Eva Green's beauty adds to that) - & the sound.. we still love its Epic-ness...
